The Moderator Crystal in Klangwind is a powerful tool for organizing discussions and ensuring that everyone has a chance to speak. Whether you’re hosting a formal debate or leading a lecture, the crystal helps track participants and manage the flow of conversation with ease.
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use the Moderator Crystal:
For Participants:
- Indicate Your Intent to Speak:
- If you wish to comment, type ‘c’ in the local chat.
- If you have a question, type ‘q’ in the local chat.
- The crystal will hear your entry and add your name to a floating list of people waiting to speak.
- Change Your Mind?
- If you decide not to speak, simply type ‘r’ in the local chat. The crystal will remove your name from the list.
For Moderators:
- Manage the List of Speakers:
- Use the dialog menu to view the list of participants who wish to speak. The crystal will display their names in floating text above it.
- From the menu, you can:
- Give the floor to participants in turn.
- Promote or defer participants based on the flow of the discussion.
- Delete entries if necessary.
- Handle Anonymous Comments:
- The Moderator Crystal also allows for anonymous comments. When someone submits an anonymous comment, it will be held for your approval.
- Once approved, the comment will be added to the discussion, but the identity of the commenter will remain hidden.
